Building Science is better with friends!

*Building Science

For years people have been getting together locally to talk building science. And now we are bringing it to the whole country with an online discussion group format.

The BS + Beer Show is an online talk show focusing on hot topics in building science. Our mission is:

"To spread BS far and wide, and to have fun doing it."

We hope you enjoy all the building science content!

Ground Source Heat Pumps
Thursday, March 6th, 2025

6pm ET • 5pm CT • 4pm MT • 3pm PT

Ground Source Heat Pumps—sometimes called Geothermal Heat Pumps—have been around a long time but they have been growing in popularity in recent years. What has changed? What is their appeal? How do they compare to other heating and cooling systems? What needs to be taken into account when designing a GSHP system, and what pitfalls should be avoided? Mechanical engineer Ross Trethewey joins us for a deep dive into the ups and downs of ground source heat pumps.

Tune in to ask questions, share your experience or simply enjoy the show!
